regional broadband speeds

Have wireless regional broadband. I have receiver box on roof and radio signal box (size of your thumb) plugged into pc.just a question.. I had 1mb speed but upgraded to 2mb. it does be up and down as usual but quite good most times. god for online gaming on ps3, very slow for downloading films.I think maybe it was quicker…
