Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Around 50,000 fans were packed into the stadium in Abidjan

It is believed part of a wall at the stadium in Abidjan collapsed, sparking a crush of terrified fans.

Police may have fired tear gas, adding to the panic, according to a medical source.

Some 50,000 fans were packed in the Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Ivory Coast's biggest city for the World Cup qualifier, which the hosts won 5-0.
A number of Premier League players were playing in the tie, including Chelsea's Didier Drogba and Salamon Kalou.

Very tragic. Hopefully something can be learned from this though to prevent these accidents that seem to happen so much in African Football.

127 people died in the stadium in Accra 10 years ago. Police firing tear gas causing panic seems to be the main problem.

Anyone else thinks skys photo slideshow is a bit odd? Few pics of the action from the match then all of a sudden, death and suffering, then casually switches back to match photos and photos of players during club matches.

Not sure if it's still there. was last night when I was looking at it.

22 dead now accordign to the Sky report.
