Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Theres a few:
http://www.bife.ie/courses/m9/ (when the site is online, its down atm) is one.

Don't think much of the concept myself; always think that getting a set of decks and messing around yourself is the best way to get going. There's also numerous books o the subject, this is a good one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/How-DJ-Properly-Science-Playing/dp/0593049667. Thats the first edition, theres a newer one which gives much more coverage to CDJs available too.

Doing a course would be a waste of money imo, especially if you don't have any equipment to practice on. The best way bar none to learn is to get some equipment and practice, practice, practice.

There are plenty of tutorials on youtube if you want to get tips & tricks which would be invaluable if you want to be a scratch DJ, and most importantly they're free.

Save your money for buying the equipment.

Yes. they're horrendously expensive. Theres a cheaper one in Celbridge (Aquarius).

A guy I know runs http://www.direction-dublin.com/djtraining.html - its not expensive at all and he's experienced in teaching beginners the theory of DJ'ing to give you a good solid place to start from.

Yes, you can teach yourself (I'm 100% self taught) however getting someone to properly teach you the basics and the theory can significantly speed up the time it takes you to be even semi competent.
