Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ian Rush played in the premier league so is eligable.

    469 games, 229 goals.

He has to be in it.

    How about Tony Cottee then...

    Duncan Ferguson (when not injured)

An in-form Dunc was unplayable and unstoppable.

    Same goes for Big Quinny.

Sorry for any confusion Al, I meant a players record while playing in the PL. A good 2/3 of those goals are ineligable.

+1 for Big Quinny, but Big Dunc was far more fearsome. When at Newcastle and fit he was as good as if not better than Shearer.

But then so does Rooney and brings alot more to a team imo.

Indeed, and plays much of his football on the wing for his club.

Eidur Gudjohnsen, was always a favorite of mine.

Him and Hasselbaink had a brilliant partnership. There are obviously better players than him but he was always under rated IMO.

Owen had a good goalscoring record with Liverpool. I know he isint anywhere the same level he used to be at.

For me Alan Shearer had to be the best striker ever in the premiership followed closely by Zola and Le Tissier.

Cantona is the most over-rated player ever.

Drogba & Torres haven't don enough for me tbh to merit a place in this list.

(it hurt to say that about the boy but its true)

yet a player who was only capped four times for England does?

    Dublin, Keane, Phillips

    Cantona over rated

    Torres and Drogba not proven...

Have dunphy and Giles taken over the soccer forum with some sort of Vulcan mind melt? :D

Cantona was a great player in the PL,I think when people say he is over rated much of this comes down to the fact that he did not do it at Int level or in Europe. He also had a tendency to go missing in big games.
