Did you have any luck? I am still on the lookout for one.

Had a quick google there and just found this partial map of the bus routes in the city centre for buses to UCC

Don't trust the timetables posted up online on Bus Eireann's website. They're wrong, as I found out to my annoyance recently.

I have pdf file contains timetable cork city bus route number 1 - 19. I know this is not what you are looking for. But maybe somebody need it. It's compiled in one file and it will be handy to put it in mobile phone/pda. I put it on my mobile also.

Do they not have a route map on their website?

    If not, how pathetic.

Incredible that they don't have a map. I've been working on a London Underground type map for Cork buses for a while. It would make perfect sense. I'm doing it after I couldn't figure out how my daughter could get to her secondary school. If I can't figure it out then how could a tourist?
There's fair bit of work involved but if I get it done I'll publish it here.
    E&OE :D

Well done. Saved me doing it. If you manage it without using the OS maps, you could claim copyright, and flog it to Bus Eireann. On second thoughts, they are such muppets they might not even be interested. :o Oh boy, to think I go to some effort to encourage tourists here (mainly friends and their friends). I wish there was some joined up thinking in the management of these organisations.

No maps involved. It's a not to scale route map showing the stops and how they interconnect. E.g. How would you get from Catherdral Rd to Douglas? All the stops would be like the tube stations on the Underground maps: Douglas Village, Sth Douglas Rd, St Finbarres Hospital, South Terrace etc. I'll do a proof of concept and show it here soon. No mention of the schedule. That's too complicated. Keep it simple. Simple, simple, simple.

I found a map of Cork City bus routes in the Deloitte Bus Eireann report on page 51.

    Hi folks,

Just moving to Cork to work in the Togher area, I heard the number 14 stops in this area, can anyone tell me what route it takes?

Spent a short while in Dublin (yeah the Jackeens), but their public transport is pretty decent. The Dublin Bus website has a journey planner-a Cork version would be a big help.

There is a website for this. Check this out: http://www.corkpublictransport.com/ . You can find the route map of bus service in Cork there.

    Cheers Enas.
I suppose their effort should be acknowledged.
But FFS, are they joking? From this map, no visitor to the city will know where to find a bus in the city centre. Ok, if this was a map of, say Goleen, no problem. But even though we have a small city centre, knowing exactly where to catch a bus is sort of the point of having a bus route map.

Sure this is a long way from a complete and useful set of information, but it's a (tiny) step towards it. To be honest, with this map and the set of timetables for each route, most information can be reconstructed, but that's far from being user friendly. As far as the map is concerned, there should be a detailed map for the red square saying "Cork City" on the map, to know for each route if it goes to Patrick Street, Grand Parade, South Mall, Merchants Quay, Sullivan's Quay, or Parnell Place (don't think I'm forgetting anything :). Even better yet, make Patrick's street bus only, and put all city termini there, but that's a whole other story. Finally, why not have an actual map of Cork with all routes shown, Cork is small enough that it should be feasible. I've seen this in other cities in Europe that were even bigger, and those maps fitted perfectly well at bus stops and were really helpful for visitors. I guess this is where the above mentioned website still plays a role.

It would have been handy to add in the river . Just to show that the railway station isn't really the closest stop to Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

I thought exactly the same thing when I saw it!

Would be nice if they made a Google Earth or Google Maps route with all the stops. I think I might do a Google layer for that one of these days if im particularly bored, with a little help of course, I'm kinda new to Cork

Great job with the maps. I as of today converted all bus eirean's cork city timetables to standard .doc / word tables and made them availible for download. The thread is http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056405488 . Hope this can help out people like me who don't want to pay for pdf viewers.

I created this map couple of years ago for own use.
May not be very precise and up to date but may be useful for someone.
