Over the past 12 months or so of building a house a good bit of branches/trees etc. has built up.Some of the pile is simple stuff like branches and shrubs, some of it is evergreen trees which were dug up from the root.

I am considering hiring a wood chipper for a day/weekend.

    My question is:
If I go for an industrial wood chipper that says it can chip 8/9 inch thick branches/trunks, does that mean it could take say a leylandi which has a trunk of 4/6 inches, but loads of branches???

I'd ring up the hire company & ask them.
