What are people's money on for the midweek internationals?

I've gone for a longshot accumalater of:

    Bulgaria vs Cyprus: Draw
    Northern Ireland vs Slovenia: Draw
    Wales vs Germany: Germany win
    Italy vs Ireland: Italy win

    Pays roughly 26/1 on Paddypower.

Obviously the seemingly stupid selection amongst the 4 seems to be Bulgaria drawing at home to Cyprus, but then again Bulgaria are missing a number of players and I would put there good result against us down to our own poor performance rather than them being brilliant. Also they have drawn all of there games so far. We all know by now that Cyprus are no mugs, and they beat Georgia 2-1 at the weekend, which we all now know is easier said than done.

Always fancy a banker accumulator bet around 5/1 and a longer shot at around 15/1.

My 'banker' bet for Wednesday is Brazil, Switzerland, Holland, Croatia, Denmark, Russia, and Latvia and Hungary both to win to nil around 4.4/1

Long shot: Bosnia, Australia, Romania, England, Italy, Germany @ 17.4/1

    Good luck with your picks.

Will post my longer bet later.

You are backing 8 teams for them odds. I never like back so many teams as usually someone will mess up.

    Good luck with it.

You're prob right. i'm living off the buzz of my weekend picks coming in for a nice tidy sum. Lightning probably can't strike twice, I'm not that lucky, or maybe...:p

My money's down now so we'll just wait for the fun to begin

Them's the joys of gambling I suppose and why if 8 teams come good we're crowing from the rooftop!

Bulgaria are 1/2 to beat Cyprus right now with Ladbrokes. I reckon their chances of beating them are the same as Italy's are to beat Ireland yet Italy are 2/5. Strange price for the Bulgarians.

Turkey 11/4 to beat Spain in Turkey also with Ladbrokes? Always tough heading out there.

Germany 4/9 to dispose of Wales with various bookies. It's in Wales but bloody hell they are woeful and surprisingly overrated. Filled me boots with Finland in their last game. Germany should slice them open. I'd go nearly 1/3 for Germany in this match.

France to draw with Lithuania in Paris? 6/1 with, you guessed it, Ladbrokes. Lithuania have performed pretty good so far and the French have a habit of tight wins at home. I reckon Lithuania could snatch a point. Certainly a better than 6/1 chance anyways.

    Will do lucky 15 on;

Cyprus (who i think have great chance, will do single on this one too)
Wales (always throw in a big result in every campaign usually, hope this is it)
Slovakia (Czechs are not the team of years ago)
    Ireland (heart ruling the head:D)

you guys need to back bosina their 11/10 at home to belgium beat them 4-2 on saturday if same bosnia turns up its going be all them

  • Registered Users Posts: 540 ✭✭✭fonda

    Brazil (-1.0) @ 1.36
Peru are bottom conceding 23 goals

Malta to score no goals @ 1.50
Malta scored none and conceded 14 in 6 games

    Holland (-1.0) @ 1.40
Holland at home and averaging 2 goals a game

    Germany (-1.0) @ 2.31
Scored 9 in their 2 away games so far in group

    Argentina @ 1.57
Bolivia second bottom, Argentina second from top

    Accum pays roughly 9/1

  • Registered Users Posts: 540 ✭✭✭fonda

Australia to keep a clean sheet @ 1.57 looks good as well

They havent conceded a goal yet in their group and they are at home

Didnt realise they were playing again. Looks like a generous price. Will put some money on this one, cheers

Took on board some of the decent prices that have been posted here and gone for what I think is a very probable accumalator of:

    Estonia to beat Armenia
    Bosnia to beat Belgium
    Argentina to beat Bolivia

Pays just over 6/1 on betfair which seems like an excellent price to me.

    Best of luck everyone

A lot of buzz on gambling forums about Bosnia being a great price at home at 11/10. I agree it looks like a great one. However the bookies are holding firm at 11/10. The price hasn't gone in. They're 2.14 on betfair as i write. Is there any other factor at work here does anyone know?

On a side note looking at Belgium's and Bosnia's recent scorelines in their qualifiers and beyond, this game should be goal crazy!

Noticed this as well, both teams have been scoring and conceding a lot. Had a look at some of the odds on Betfair:

3 Goals or more 5/6 - Would be fairly confident of this coming through.

Or if you wanted to be more adventurous...

4 Goals or more 2/1 (not sure if the price is worth the risk)
    5 Goals or more 5/1
6 Goals or more between 12/1 and 13/1

There were 6 goals in the corresponding fixture a few days ago, but I assume Belgium will want to tighten up and not concede 4 again, and I would say a repeat is unlikely. But then again at 12/1 it could be worth a couple of quid. Think I might play it safe and go for 3 goals or more at 5/6 though.

call me optimistic, but i fancy under 1.5 goals in the ireland game at 2/1. Both sides have fairly tame attacks and solid defences. I also think 0-0 at 17/2 is quite a good price. Then again, I'm probably just being way too optimistic

    England-1
    Italy clean sheet
Over 2.5 goals Holland vs. Macedonia

    Around 4.5

Back no goalscorer instead of the nil nil.

If an own goal is scored and the result is 1-0 you still get paid.
