I have an E820 pentium 4 , 2.6Ghz PC which will not boot! problem started with a slight burning smell which I guessed to be the PSU as the fan was only working intermittantly. I bought a new PSU but still have same problem. Power indicator light but HD reader light remains on full ( no flicking). I don't get any audible either and no signal is been received by the monitor. ( Monitor in PWO on other computer)

I switched the HD to another PC and it is fine ! Could the Motherboard be fried ? Where is the best place to source a 478 socket ATX- I think it is an ATX micro I need ?

    Any advice appreciated!

After working in a PC repair place I can tell you straight away that the MoBo is fried. In the space of 3 weeks(!!) that I done work placement there. We had 6 Emachines, 4 of which had the exact same problem and 3 of which were the same model! Buggered PSU, knackered MoBo..
