Anyone watch this tonight on ITV4 ? Two landrovers ambushed in Basra, a patrol from 1 RHA found themselves under fire and trapped in a house surrounded by up to 100 milita, radios down, down to their last few rounds after a three hour fire fight before rescue came. Two of the patrol were 18, one said he still sees the images in his head, the fighting was that close quarters.
They had all agreed to use their last round on themselves, it was such a close call. Only rescued cause one had a mobile on him.

    Great viewing.

Dont know, dont have a tv guide, but some of the programmes are on You Tube, the new series is on ITV4, Tuesdays from 10th June at 10pm.

Using incredible footage shot by soldiers and the Ministry of Defence, dramatic reconstructions and brutally honest interviews with serving squaddies, Andy brings the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan to life and takes an in-depth look at the deadly threats British troops in Basra and Helmand face on a daily basis.

The six-part series looks at how to survive sniper fire, ambushes and sieges, combating guerrilla warfare and what to do if you’re injured and under fire. From weapons and tactics to medical treatment and the chain of command.
