I bought the King Arms FN FAL Tactical Carbine, along with an 8.4v Intellect 1600mAh battery.

The problem is that the battery doesn't fit inside the foregrip :(

The King Arms website doesn't specify what type of battery is needed, whereas the eHobby site recommends the aforementioned Intellect mini-type battery.

The following is from the manual included with the AEG:

I didn't know there was such a thing as a V-shaped battery and Google isn't telling me anything.

    Can anyone help me?

Congrats on a beauty of an AEG.
I got the longer version and wanted to also buy at
some stage the version you got.
    (Or get a CA-SA58)

You got the Battery that was recommened for the Full stocked version.
    Its a HUGE thing.

Look up Nunchak(u) Battery or Crane stock battery.
Am sure some of the Irish retailers have em.

Go tactical have em but they are 9.6v
Not sure if a Kings arm FAL will take a 9.6 without upgrades.

Or a standard mini battery pack should fit, (you may need to get a converter
to make the small connector into a bigger connector depending on the wireing
of the aeg and its connector)

Yeah it's a lovely piece of kit :)

I think the full stock version takes the large-type battery, whereas I bought the mini-type.

Here's a photo of the mini-type battery resting on top of the barrel and gas cylinder:

Look up Nunchak(u) Battery or Crane stock battery.
Thanks! I'll have a look around for an 8.4v one.
you may need to get a converter to make the small connector into a bigger connector depending on the wireing
of the aeg and its connector
As you can see from the photo, I can connect the battery without any adapter, but there's no room for it when the foregrip has to go back on. There's no room for it to slide in between the barrel and gas cylinder either.

You could still make one from the existing battery pack..
Split the cells up 4 on one side 3 on the other, and solder some wire
between two of the cells to let you put the cells
at either side of the barrell . Wrap everything up in insulating tape.

Never even thought about modding the battery. Good idea, bullets! :)
