    Hi guys,

The auld PC is a bit slow when running a few apps at the same time, even though the PC is still relatively new.
It has 1024MB of RAM - so im looking to up that to the most I can!

So Ive done some reading and I've worked out, if i have my model correct (thru crucial.com) that i need either DDR PC2-5300 or -6400 and that the motherboard takes 2* 1GB
Each memory slot can hold DDR2 PC2-5300,DDR2 PC2-6400 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.*

*Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory.

Question is..... (i know I'd be exceeding the recommendations), but if I bought 2* 2GB and stick them in, would there be any problems? Or will it work fine??
Did I read correctly that the PC might not be able to avail of all the memory.

Cheers for the help and sorry for being a total noob and so ignorant to the workings of a PC

PS - The PC is an Advent (sorry to all you pro's - i was broke at the time), it think the model is T9608, and is running on an Intel 945GC and operating system of Vista.
