Ok,as ye may be aware,there are some interesting developments this week.

Facebook has invested in boards etc,you can learn more elsewhere,feedback for example.
I won't insult ye're intelligence about the noc forum. The rainbow thing is indeed just an april fools thing,and fairly innocent.

But there are changes to the noc happening because of facebook.

Changes which make me question whether i'll stay mod.

Since we are no longer community run,we are owned now,by a foreign company,i don't think we will be going on as we have been.

In fairness,since the noc was one of the first flagship social forums,interest has been taken in us.

There are talks of breaking us into three, one main forum,two subforums. The main forum is being suggested as purely nocturnal. The first subforum for the more social dark interaction,and the second for social cute/light and normal interaction.

As i said,i'm considering our limited options,even considering an offsite forum if things go badly.

I'm not pleased with whats happening,but am in talks with the higher ups on boards,nothing from facebook yet.

I may not be here longer,so just filling ye in.

Wow, thats a bit rough. It would make sense that facebook took an interest in the social forums.

I understand where you're coming from in terms of stepping down, I'm thinking about it myself and I know a few other mods are too. I'm not really happy with these new conditions they're laying out. Can't really speak about that out here though but I don't think everyone will be happy with the changes.

Good joke Kharn/Dav but think the faceboards one beat it just a bit for reaction!!! Fair play to Nerin for the great post playing along! Some good ideas for the Noc forum there!!

Ah yea, I sorta forgot that it was April 1st on the Noc forum too with all the FaceBoards stuff to do Only thought of it around 6pm yesterday and whipped off a quick PM to the mods to let them know I'd do it
