Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Does anybody have any idea how much a 75l rucksack would weigh when packed? Just booking internal flights in Asia and the allowance is 15kg or 20kg of checked baggage, not sure which one to choose:confused:

I was 4kg over the 20kg limit, you should deffo pop it on the weighing scales at home before going to the airport, you'd be surprised at how much it weighs. and i'm certain the scales in the airport are rigged!

a 75l backpack must weight about 12 kg at least if its clothes and books and the like. i traveled asia with a small backpack weighing a whole 6.1 kg :D came home with 15+ though

My jam packed 60L bag weighed 10kg (mostly clothes but also a lot of medicines and toiletries) so I think you should be fine.

Be careful though, I think I've really screwed my back from haveing a rucksack that was always between 14-20. It gets really heavy after a while! Just remember - no one gives a crap if you wear same clothes the whole time and you can pick tshirts up here and there for a few $$.

    This is often discussed:

One tip is to buy one of those strong rucksack covers with a lock and send the heaviest luggage through the luggage system.
