Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
I want to BATCH resize (and then save as a copy- not resisze the originals) some pictures before posting them to my photo blog.

    What's the best/easiest tool/software to do this?

    Cheers,
    Pa.

Do you have Photoshop? You can go to image size and then pick the size in pixels or mm etc and it will resize the image. You can then save a copy.

I use bdsizer - it's portable, very fast, can do batch resize, can specify size in pix and kb, can also sharpen and add frame & copyright.

you can batch resize in photoshop

you can actually create a droplet that you can drop a whole folder on it

and they will output to another folder

FastStone Image Viewer has a very nice batch resize (and batch all kinds of other stuff too) feature. A great all round viewer too, plus it's absolutely free.

irfanview does the whole batch thing very well - far more than resize but resize is cool and I noticed it to be really quick - though, I've no other batch resize experience to compare to so can't say it was better/worse than anything else.
