Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jesus that's tough, I'd say there's a good chance one of the goals against Liverpool/Man Utd is an own goal, meaning he only played for one of the two of them. Does winning the premiership mean the actual premiership as in post-1993 or could it refer to the old first division title?

At first I thought..Nicholas Anelka.

    But he's played for France..

I hate these because I'm always worried that it will either be fake, or the OP will have made a mistake, and so I will spend all day with my head melting over it, and it will have been in vain :D

    In other words, I don't know >.<

    1) By premiership do you mean post 92?
    2) Is this a horrible trick questions?

Guessing one of the first two parts is a own goal anyways

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,468 ✭✭✭✭Blazer

There is no player that meets all this critera.

No Arsenal/Chelsea player has played with Liverpool + Man Utd. Could be an own goal in there for Pool or United but can't think of any player.
Paul Ince but he never played for a London Club.

if you do a google you'll see this question has been asked before...there is no answer..it's a bull**** question.

    No such player exists.

ok im guessing one of the goals was an og, and that the second trick part is that he was capped for a country he wasnt born in

ala viera being capped for france not senegal

Paul Ince but he never played for a London Club..

They've never won he league but ousting West Ham from London is a bit harsh.

think theres a few tricks to this

    its an og

the bit about winning trophies in spain and italy could mean he won tornaments like youth tornaments etc in those countries not domestic trophies

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

Jermaine Pennant scored against united and had an own goal

He has won trophies in spain, italy and scotland as part of pre-season and youth tournamentsas far as i know.

He's never scored against Utd playing for Liverpool and has never scored an og for them either whilst playing for us (unless he did in the reserves or something)

    Who am I?

I am considered one of the best footballers to ever play for my country, known for my technical skills and great footballing brain. I played in four world cups, and one European Championship - captaining my country for the latter part of my International career. I plied my trade in the Belgian, French and German leagues - and the highlight of my club career was scoring a goal in a winning UEFA cup final effort.

When my football career was over I suffered unsuccessful stints in politics and football management.

are you sure it's not only one player that's done that? it was the last time I was asked this question which was only a few months ago?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

I dont get people who say the answer was Pennant as he never won a premiership with Arsenal. He never played anywhere near the 10 games required to qualify for a medal in the first place ? In fact most of his seasons there he didnt even make a prem appearance ! The only season Pennant was at Arsenal when they won a premiership was 2001/2002 and he did not make a single prem appearance and was even loaned out to Watford during that season. So either he is not the answer or else whoever made up the question made a bollox of it.

All I can say for sure is that it is not Pennant. I will keep looking into it but I think there is no point as someone said they were told the answer is Pennant and I quite clearly pointed out that he never won a premiership title.
