Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is quite possibly the entirely wrong section. If it is, please will a mod move it accordingly. Didn't quite know where to post it - so thanks.

Ok, question is this - if I'm posting a small packet (jiffy bag, if you will), from Ireland to Singapore, which route does it take?

I posted the item on 27/03, according to An Post it flew out of Dublin on 31/03.. so where is it now? I mean, does it go to the UK and go to Singapore in the care of Royal Mail? Or, how does it go?

It was sent registered, but not EMS, and I'm starting to regret that because the recipient needs to have it by Tuesday 7th April.

Anyone who knows much about the Irish postal network - please share your knowledge!

I think mail for Singapore is routed through the UK - have you tried your track and trace number on your registered mail receipt? This will probably only indicate when it left the UK and you will then need to contact An Post. You need a number for for their customer support people and your local post office should have this or look online. An Post (this is my personal experience) will then email Singapore Post and enquire the delivery status of your item. You will get an answer but the problem is it will all take time. :)

I would get up early some morning and ring the Singapore Post Office. There is a number for the 'registered articles hotline' at http://www.singpost.com.sg/feedback.asp

You could also try their registered articles tracker. http://www.singpost.com/ra/ra_article_status.asp

The Singapore Post Office is a pretty smooth and clean operation from what I have seen and experienced of it and it is likely that the item never got to them as I suspect.

You should ask the An Post hotline whether there are any delays with registered mail going to the UK and the Far East. They may admit if there is a problem, under questioning.

    Thanks guys!

Singpost received the item today, and sent it out for delivery today, too.

Happy days! Thanks both of you for your help. :)
