TomTom Go 720 Maps

Hi, I'm currently using a TomTom Go 720 but cannot seem to get the latest maps for Ireland without having to pay for these new maps. I'm wondering if there are any maps available . With the asking prices, it almost seems easier to buy a new one with the latest maps again. Thanks for your help..
