Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Iraqi goals ain't working, obv my connection is sh*t out here...

And I couldn't care less if united fans do the same in other threads, its still amusing to me to see fans of one team cheer so much when another team puts one past their rivals...

well done from Davies there, had to stop that ball in, defenders were in a bit of trouble behind him

It could be down to the fact that this is the first time in nearly 2yrs that neither Rio or Vida has played in the defence.

Well obviously but you have to feel a more defensive midfield would provide cover for our back 4.

cant you figure out that its good for our team if this happens?

Great half by Villa except for Milner's silly mistake, we look dangerous going forward but we'll have to score again to even get a point imo

lol at some of the discussion in this thread
Villa have been the better team. United have just been a threat from set pieces.

Tevez is playing poor, Giggs is barely playing. Ronaldo looks likely but is on his own up there. I think the system is problematic, Tevez is never gona be good enough up front on his own. Personally, I'd take Nani off (who has been very poor), put Giggs on the left, Ronaldo on the right, Tevez off Welbeck.
Or just **** it and bring on Macheda. Would be better than what we've got currently up front which is pretty much nothing.

Looks like another bad performance from United. We will be lucky to get 1 point out of this imo. Half of our players should be in the Championship not playing for the best club in the world, joke

fergie having nev as CB,brilliant decision there saf

    bring on Eckersley ffs

Nev just doesnt have it anymore

Tevez looks useless on his own, giggs isnt helping much. Macheda to get the winner.

I think United are playing quite well going forward. We are passing the ball a lot better than we have in recent games.

Our defence is something we will have to deal with, we cant help having the injuries/suspensions. We just have to get on with it.

I am optimistic for the second half.

United look really poor today for obvious reasons. Would have said before the game started a draw for villa would be a great result for Liverpool but the way Villa look like they are going to score anytime they go forwrd makes me think Villa can get all three today. Evans and Neville are'nt fit to play for West brom at present never mind Utd.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,825 ✭✭✭Mikeyt086

Flecther at RB might not be a bad option.

Some other United fans on here are just hilarious. A bit of faith lads, were not 2-0 down. All to play for.

    Gary Neville looks dreadful.

    He's playing poorly too.

I know, it's gas isn't it? The only thing i can think of as to why this is happening (and feel free for anyone to correct me) is that Liverpool fans really want Liverpool to win the league and if Villa can take points off Utd, then Liverpool would still be top of the league.
So instead of cheering on Utd to a result that would hamper Liverpool's chances of title success, Liverpool fans have decided to cheer for the team who are playing Liverpool's biggest rivals.
It's a completely mad concept, i know, But if you give it some thought, i think you will eventually come across the logic of it all!

    COME ON VILLA!!!!!

right big decision time for saf
    id bring on Eckersley
    nani off replaced with park

    and bring on kiko

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,422 ✭✭✭Fenix

Did it really take 30minutes and a goal for Fergie to realise that putting Nevile on Carew possibly wasnt the best idea ? He looks like an assclown in the utd defense atm. Ronaldo should be staying central, Giggs to try and sure up the midfeild with his experience, with some people touting him for Player of the season (I'm certainly not one of them), this is the sort of stage where he needs to step up.

Comparing Carrick and Barry at the minute Barry is winning hands down, uncharictarist misplacment of passes from Carrick, his form has really dipped for me, although at least he seems to want the ball or look comfortable on it, which is more i can say for Fletcher(although i appriciate his workrate) and JO'S.

Nani to hit row Z another 12 times in 2nd half, Ronaldo to come up with the goods and maybe silence some of the 'sell sell sell'ers.

Would love to see Kiko get a run out but obviously a result comes first.

    COME ON UTD.

obviously, I was cursing earlier when Liverpool got (another :D) late winner, bit of class needed is all im saying... on both sides :D Its the same as wearing your Liverpool jersey to the pub tonight and cheering along with the Villa fans (Ive seen this too :()

cheers for that veetle link Des, forgot about that since I moved over here

    Park for Nani
    Eckersley for Neville
Give it a bit longer and bring on Macheda / Welbeck for Giggs

Carrick has been largely disappointing as well.

C'mon lads, get stuck in in the 2nd half!

making three changes at the same time is a fool's game.

First thing that needs to be done is to get someone who is capable of playing football to go to right back.

For everyone saying we are rubbish we are missing:

    Ferdinand
    Vidic
    Rooney
    Berbatov
    Scholes
    Anderson

    ALSO

    Brown
    Hargreaves
    Rafeal

If you want to get picky

    FFS !

Fletch has been Uniteds best player in the first half imo.

I hate to agree with Jamie Redknap but I do thing united will need to score twice to win it.

    Nani off asap please.:D

What about that 12 year old Austrailian wonderkid we bought last year? Lash him on up front?

If Sir Alex thought Eckersley was ready, he would have started.

Stick Hargreves on that list, a fit one would solve a lot of problems in this game.

maybe, but you'd have to favour young until he's proven himself at this level.

I think Milner will be sent off. Take him off, he's been useless anyway
