Not sure if this is in right forum so apologies in advance......I just lost my Mother to cancer last week and wondered best way to deal with grief. Any advice on how to cope....anyone had similar experience recently..etc... I am finding it very hard to deal with and not quite sunk in yet....Still crying everyday and everything reminding me of her. I started crying in tesco today because i seen a box of chocolates she would of liked! :( Also worried about my Dad coping, they were extremely close.

My deepest sympathy Bitsie. I was in your position 3 years ago and found it very tough.

You can get all the advice in the world but at the end of the day no-one understands what you're going through, not even yourself.

I found keeping busy and talking to friends kept me sane.

Cry when you feel like it, I haven't ever really cryed over my mother and was so guilty about that for soooo long as well. Go with what you feel when you feel it.

I was very worried about my Dad as well at the beginning (and still am to a certain extent), but he seems to be getting on ok.

When my mum died, I look up the 7 stages of grief and they're spot on. You do go through them all.

Hope you'll be ok. PM me anytime you want and I'll do what I can to help.

Bitsie so sorry to hear about your mother I posted a reply to your thread about her leukaemia returning then found this thread from you. My thoughts are with you and your father. :( Just remember that your mother wouldn't like to see you down.
