I'm guilty of no. 21 and I've been unfortunate to witness someone ask the dj to hook their ipod up "facepalm*

Speaking as a DJ I've never said any of those to a fellow spinner.
I've heard most of them. Man I've taken some **** from w@nkers in my time.

One night some bitch kept hitting the platter coz I wouldn't play beyonce.
I lifted the record I was playing and said, this is Vinyl. Its hard and its sharp and if you try that again I'm going to hit you with it.

    I agree.
You don't go to a house club and pester the DJ for R'nB though.
I think I'm channelling Steve Angello's rage over Paris Hilton now!

    "Do you enjoy scratching?"

If I had a euro for every time some drunk egit wanted to stand behind the decks and scratch a record I'd be living in a bigger house

I did new years at a club in Kildare that had a decent cage around the DJ box. I still felt like I was in one of those movies where zombies attack. All these scary fookers trying to grab me through the bars and get my attention.
    It was kind of funny.
People don't seem to realise that decent closed back headphones can block out most background sound.

Sound, keep the good work up and let us DJ's do our job. I feel like a civil servant :)

Ha ha I lol'ed at this.

I've had every one of these said to me.

My fave is when they say "you're not the DJ!"

I say "of COURSE not, I'm just minding his stuff for a minute" :pac:

Another one to add to the list:

when people try to pay you to play their song - so insulting! were not juke boxes and were getting paid enough already >.<

oh and another one, the other night a well meaning drunk lad said to me really sympathetically " how do you stick a job like this?"

Wouldnt mind if it was an empty bar mid week but it was a friday nite club and it was rockin :o

I once asked a DJ for his sandwich. I was hammered and hungry, and had been going crazy in the front row for the last hour, so he actually gave it to me. It was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me...
