Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

cant believe how lucky he was to hit the three that stopped him if it hadn't the car wouldn't of stopped till he hit the valley floor and the outcome would have been alot worse

Just shows how save the cars are these days, glad they are unhurt. It looks like his position in BP Ford is in serious doubt at the moment, he has had a dreadful start to the season. Hopefully they can work it out and give him another chance, he just needs to mature a bit in the car and not take stupid chances. He reminds me (A LITTLE) of McRae in the early days all or nothing.

I reminds me a bit of when Markko Martin crashing out at high speed in argentina in 2004 and again they where unhurt (can't say the same for the car though).

Ford have insisted that Latvala's drive is safe for the next rally despite his poor recent form.

Thanks for the link chopper. Good to see Wilson has some faith in him. As mentioned already, Latvala's performance is very reminiscent of McRae back in the formative years (and middle and latter years too come to think of it!). Didn't they say in McRae's case that it showed he was trying? Latvala has great pace - just needs to keep it on the road, which I think he'll get the hang of with time! Then again, Petter in a factory Focus could be interesting!

Latvala's crash reminded me of a crash from years ago but couldn't put my finger on it... till now.

Also from Portugal, the one and only Louise Aitken Walker.
One of,if not the most scariest endings to a crash.

Very spectacular crash but a multiple rollover is relatively easy on the structure of a car compared to say, a direct hit into a tree which stops the car (and occupants inside) in an instant.

One of the main dangers in a rollover is the occupants arms can get flung out the window and get crushed under the rolling car.
