Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Arsenal (from): Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Walcott, Denilson, Fabregas, Arshavin, Bendtner, Adebayor, Fabianski, Djourou, Gibbs, Vela, Eboue, Silvestre, Song, Nasri.

    Manchester City (from):
Given, Richards, Onuoha, Dunne, Zabaleta, Wright-Phillips, Elano, De Jong, Kompany, Robinho, Bojinov, Bridge, Garrido, Fernandes, Evans, Etuhu, Berti, Vassell, McGivern, Hart.

The above for some reason doesn't include Bellamy, Sturridge and Benjani who are all good to go. Typical BBC with their ear to the ground.

I'd drop Robinho and go with a team of -

    Given

    Richards
    Dunne
    Onouha
    Bridge

    Kompany

    Zabaleta
    De Jong

    Wright-Phillips
    Bellamy

    Bojinov

Subs: Hart, Sturridge, Elano, Robinho, Garrido, Benjani, Fernandes.

    I reckon we're looking at:

    Almunia

    Sagna
    Toure
    Gallas
    Clichy

    Eboue
    Denilson
    Song
    Arshavin

    Bendtner
    ?

Subs: Fabianski, Gibbs, Djourou, Walcott, Silvestre, Vela, Nasri/AN Other.

Nasri has the flu and Vela is suffering from fatigue so I don't expect either of them to start, and I doubt Nasri will even feature.

Up front is a tough one, the only real option is to put Ade up alongside Bendtner. However he hasn't played a PL game since recovering from injury and he played a full 90 minutes for Togo during the week so I was hoping for the option of resting him today. However with RVP and Eduardo injured and Vela and Bendtner not at 100% he'll prob start.

Another option could be to play Bendtner up front on his own and play three in the middle with Fab starting.

I'll be expecting to see at some stage:
    Eboue -> Walcott
    Song -> Fabregas

I have a feeling that Cesc and Ade will both play. Wenger always seems to throw Fabregas in whenever he can, plus he's been training for a good few weeks now. And Adebayor will probably play as Bendtner also got a bit of a knock during the week whereas Ade got through the 90 minutes okay

Oh and Frisbee you have Walcott on the bench twice:P

Is Nasri a definite non starter? (he's on my fantasy football team)

    http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/nasri-fails-to-recover-for-man-city-clash
Samir Nasri will miss the Premier League clash with Manchester City.

The French midfielder returned from international duty with flu and will not recover in time to face Mark Hughes’ side on Saturday.

“Nasri came back with the flu, he is in bed and is not available for the game. He has a small chance of feeling better for Sunday, so maybe he should be available for the Tuesday game."

I'd wager both Cesc and Ade will start. Wenger will want them to be as match fit as possible for the CL game.

I can only see a Arsenal win tbh.!

The Arsenal bench isn't particularly strong. Hopefully they'll get no more injuries. It'll be Bendtner and Eboue coming on to save the day if Arsenal aren't winning late on.

Where's Ramsey been lately? Can't remember the last time he played.

Dunno about that, for his second effort he didn't attempt to go near the ball.

Well here in Spain it is on Spanish RTE.

Ah here, it was Robinho, not Vidic against Sagna. He went down cause the ball was going out.

And now Fernandes is coming on. WTF?!

City defence is rubbish. How the hell did EBOUE make it from the wing all the way to the six yard box and shoot !

Eboue isn't playing, and going past people is probably the best part of his game.

    Why Elano for Kompany ?

Good first half from Arsenal, playing some good football, but as always we really need the comfort zone of a two goal advantage.

Good match from the gunners so far. Can't wait to see what Arshavin'll be like in Champions League next year! Lovely skillful player.

    From BBC:

"Arsenal will be only seven points behind Manchester United in the title race, they still have to play Chelsea at home, Liverpool and Manchester United away. Wenger could just shock everybody because their squad and team are looking strong now."

Fab is back with a vengeance.

    Two assists this afternoon.

Really believe the Gunners would be Uniteds main rivals if it wasnt for his injury.

Shay Given has definitely spared some blue blushes today.

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't he well off form between returning from the Euro's and his injury?

I live with an Arsenal fan and I remember him being pretty damn mystified as to what was wrong with him..

Zabaleta the only playing with a bit of heart.

He was wrecked tired. Don't have the figures, but hes played a ridiculous amount of first team games since he joined the gunners.

/edit: feckin iraqgoals down again. Anyone find a better stream?
