    Hi folks,

To cheer myself up I am considering upgrading my pc that doesn't really need upgrading but I wanna anyway! I enjoy the research part of the whole thing.

CPU wise I am currently looking at Intel Core i7 920 which comes in two flavours, OEM and retail! What is the difference, is it just merely a warranty?

    Thanks

Warranty is different and the oems don't come with a heat sink.

Its common to see, escpecially on harwareversand, to see the Retail at a lower or same price as the OEM. If its like this, go for Retail! Spare heatsinks can be handy too!
