    Hi there,

Fanad is a ok for a bit of hill walking I would recomend the route over knockalla taking in Cnoc na Boirne (have a look at os map 2)
we began the walk at Kerrykeel and finished up overlooking portsaloon beach we left a car each side. There are lots of great walks in Donegal, would recomend joing a club if going on your own make sure you have proper gear map and compass and know how to use them and some one that knows what time you left and when to expect you back

    Enjoy the walking

Why not just post it here so everyone can benefit?

Indeed. http://www.hillwalkers.com - your friendly neighbourhood walking club. Or one of 'em, anyway.

Based in Derry, this group tends to walk in Donegal:
    Derryveagh Mountains,
    Knockalla range in Fanad,
    various destinations in Inishowen

and around the North a bit as well:

    Binevenagh, near Limavady,
    The Giant's Causeway (from Ballintoy),
The odd wee excursion to the Sperrins or the Mournes

and the odd slightly further trip as well, such as Slieve League or Ben Bulben.

Register on the site, and you'll get notified of all upcoming walks.

    Sorry for delayed response.
