    Hi there,

I am working for a company that is in the process of building a web application. We have decided to go with Slicehost as our hosting option.

I have a number of decisions yet to make though..
    - does anybody know of a tool, that creates a PDF document using data from a mysql database? I do know there are tonnes of options but was wondering if anybody has any experience of any, that they might be able to recommend?
    - also users of this application will pay either a monthly, quarterly or annual subscription fee. There will also be a one off payment. Does anybody have any experience on any subscription payment applications?

    Thanks,
    Fiona

    Hi Fiona,

You don't say what technology you're using but I'm guessing it's PHP because you're using MySQL?

I'm afraid I cant help you with the PDF document but I have worked with Realex payments using Microsoft.Net. The support was good but the documentation lacked working examples for .net, only classic asp which was no use to me. The general consensus from what I've read on here is that although they aren't the cheapest, they're a pretty good option.

    Goodluck with the dev work

    Thanks for replying!

yes you're right we're building it using php.
Just wondering if you know of any specialist web application forums where I might get some more information. As I'm sure you've guessed, i'm completely new to this.

    Thanks
    Fiona
