Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Imagine he was playing against Italy

We would have run riot with the extra man.

I hear Real Madrid are lining up a £75m bid for him. It's all over tomorrows Marca. Guilleme Balllague reckons its a dead cert.

    City lucky there poor defending.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

We're so bad at defending set pieces it's not even funny.

what's happened to the defensive beast we used to know as Micah Richards?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Guilleme Ballague also reckoned Torres to United was a dead cert a few years ago

ok i should've said 'potential' maybe, but i don't agree it was a myth.

because while eriksson was there, him and dunne were one of the best pairings in the league.

    Super from Dunnie there

Here's the Ireland goal for anyone who missed it. Fantastic goal. Lucky Lloyd should really make it a sticky.

Give zonal marking a try imo. Clearly it is proof that man marking at set pieces doesn't work. :)

    ---

    Sturridge has been rubbish imo.
I forgot how awkward looking Olic is.
    Dunne has been great.
Remember when Micah Richards used to be good at football? :(
Ireland has simply been awesome. Man oh man, he could end up being better than Roy Keane...o_O

    Hoping your not serious.

I was having a joke at Real Madrid and Guilleme Ballague. He also said Ronaldo had signed for Madrid twice last year. Hence the joke. Guilleme Ballague also said United had signed Xabi Alonso while he was at Sociedad. You see? Friendly poke at Spanish man?

Look at Stephen Ireland again. His runs from box to box are amazing. He just relieved so much pressure by getting out quickly.

Xavi, who is Man City's defensive coach?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Holy shit that would've been some goal

Mark Bowen is assistant manager but he handles a lot of training and was a defender for Wales and Norwich amongst others.

Great half of football. Tell ya what, they put up an intimidating atmosphere in that stadium!

Ireland has been extraordinary over that 45 mins.

    He deserves the sack.

Cracking pass and run from Ireland for the goal

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Ireland's engine reminds me of Keane's prior to his hip problems. He's a joy to watch.

    Citys defenders in training

Is anyone finding the framing of the image not 4:3 friendly? Much of the action is right on the edge of the picture or just off it.

Management no no number 1: do not make a substitution while defending a corner.

Hamburg deservedly infront tbh. Jaysus though, City have looked so shakey from corners.
