This is nowhere near the 'painful' budget we were led to expect so far.

The doubling of the income levy is going to be pretty painful imho

No college fees yet. If they were to be announced, they would've been with all the other education things, no?

This "mini" budget has a hell of a lot in it. Including several Lisbon digs, it's like he's trying to blame some of the current situation on the No vote.

An increase in excise on Drink would drive more trade across the border and result in a decrease in excise tax collection to the Government, pretty simple really, of course maybe some people want us to increase the UK Exchequer

The dole is rubbish anyway, about 200€/week too much IMO. And I being laid off next month myself so I am not saying this from a comfortable position..... but complaining now that there won't be a "Christmas Bonus" is ridiculous ffs! We are in March and this means some people plan to stay on the dole for the next 9 months???????????????
Cut it after 6 months IMO!

Easy to know that you xavi that you have graduated. People should be sticking together and demanding no education fee for third level .

Education is a right not a privilege.

i hate fags. it should be 250% !!

They can increase it 1000% if they want. I started buying from the polish after the last budget - €35 for 200. I'd say they have a new road in Warsaw at this point thanks to me.

    That's it?

They bottled it big time. Nowhere near the measures that were needed. IMF here we come.
