Redirect Loop error

I was experimenting with redirecting my website this morning. Eventually I got a error message whenever I tried to load any page of the site.
I deleted the redirect in my control panel, but the problem persists.

    This is the complete message:
    Redirect Loop

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.

    * Have you disabled or blocked cookies required by this site?
    * NOTE: If accepting the site's cookies does not resolve the problem, it is likely a server configuration issue and not your computer.

The site doesn't use cookies, but I cleared them anyway.
IE doesn't load the page either.

I've emailed my host, but haven't heard back yet.

Any ideas as to how I can solve this?

That happened to me when I was messing with redirects. Did you set any redirects up?

Yeah, I set up a redirect from the index page to another page in the site.
I deleted that redirect, but the problem remains.

Ok not sure then because when I deleted the redirect it worked fine.

    No joy, yet.
Emailed the hosting company early yesterday, nothing so far. Rang them thing evening and I was asked to leave a message

Your browser may be caching the redirect. Try close/clearing cache and see if that helps. If not, then look to your redirects again!

Can you tell us the domain? PM me if you prefer. I'll be able to tell you if it is a server redirect, or a client/browser issue, if that's of any help.

Cleared the cache, didn't change things.
I removed the redirect in the CP, it doesn't appear there anymore.

    The domain is theagency.ie
    Thanks

I had a similar error with the header function in PHP..

I was sending the page back to the same page, d'oh!

Maybe that's like whats happening you but at server level..

I think at one point that's (accidentally) how the redirect was setup.
The thing is I have the same error no matter what page of the site I try to load, even ones that never had any redirect applied.

I rang the hosting company, but got through this time.
It was sorted 10 minutes later!
