Planning Permission Query

We are thinking about leasing a fully licensed restaurant but would like to run it as a take away rather than a sit down place. Now my question is, will we require a special take away licence for this if we do not wish to open after 12 midnight or will the restaurant licence suffice? We tried to get through to the planning office in our local council but the person who is responsible for the area the restaurant is located in seems to be permanently unavailable so any advice would be much appreciated.

LA's do not view take aways the same as restaurants. If you are changing a restaurant to a take away you need planning permission and a fire safety certificate for a change of use, imo.

    Agree with Tom.

Also, the planner is obliged to meet with you. Apply for a pre-planning meeting in writing.
