borders or frames for pics!

Hi there

not sure if this is the right place to ask but i want to find out how to
attach borders or frames in photoshop?
I would like the popular black frames but dont know where to start!
have gooogled it but dont know how to word it!
any advice appreciated!

For simple frame, select the borders of the pictures using rectangular selection and then stroke the outline with black or whatever color you want.

there are thousand other ways of doing it; but it is the simplest of all.
