He's still taking orders. I ordered one today and there's only a 5 week lead time on it which is nothing for a quality, hand made instrument.

Personally I haven't played one of these bodhrans but bodhrans made by the best makers (eg O'Kane, Metloef etc.) hold their value quite well and at 60 euro you get what you pay for.....

McNeill's have deep-framed, 16" bodhrans for 170... hows that these days? they are meant to be pretty nice ones... and no postage and packaging!

I think I paid about 250 euro for the one I bought. Drop Seamus a mail on sok_bodhrans@hotmail.com to check.

there's a thread on bodojo.com on the SOKs and pricing, I've copied the key details here, it's a good bodhrán resource, worth joining if you're in it for the long haul.

"I understand the band tuning drum is also 15 1/2' as well. The 8 is £190 sterling and the band tuning model is £260 if i remember correctly. Postage to the UK mainland is £20. By the way, his tippers, type A nad B only, are £8 each. Type C has been discontinued.

Further details can be found here:www.tradcentre.com/seamus/"
