Does anyone know a person or a website who reviewed the complete run of PRIDE? I’m particularly interested in the earlier shows. As I can find reviews of the glory period and after from various places.

    Thanks

I'd recommend buying the legacy boxsets, looking at sherdog they seem to be good value at $25. The boxsets exclude 10, 19, 23 and the GPs which are worth getting individually. So basically, buy everything.

Pride 1-8 is the early period. The shows are a bit weak. But of those shows 3 is particularly good with 8 being an excellent show as well. The others are pretty ordinary.
After 8 the Grand Prix 2000 happens which is an excellent show. Pride's 9-20 are absolutely amazing, Prides 10, 13, 14, 15, 16 ,17 are awesome shows with some awesome fights. 10 is particularly good, as are the other ones with 17 being notable for introducing the MW and HW title belts. Both title fights in 17 are out of this world.
After 20 people like Fedor and Cro Cop come into the mix and this era post 20 is considered the glory period you refer to but I think Prides 9-20 are just as good.

Thanks for that Pride Fighter. The problem with finding info on early PRIDE seems to be that they occured during the newsgroup era of the internet and most info has been lost in Cyberspace.
