Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know, I'm waiting for the legion of fake posts.

The home is real, the away is not. I was reading another forum where one guy is big in JJB or something and went to some meeting.

The home is part of Nike's "V is for Victory" campaign which i think is a bit of a crap idea. But i like the home shirt.

The away has been rubbished by one of Nike's designers afaik, which is a big relief as im not into bondage.

That Chelsea shirt is confirmed but the green Arsenal is not. However, these pics that come through are often VERY close to the end designs.

The home United one isnt that bad. It would look better without the V though. The away United one isnt real.

I so wish Liverpool would go back to the old crest. Tis so much easier on the eye.

That Chelsea one always makes me chuckle. HORRIBLE!

    I hope you're right.
That away thing is a joke.
Still think the home one is terrible too though.

The Arsenal one looks really nice

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

The Arsenal one reminds me of the old Liverpool away strip from 99-00.

Aye, there's definitely a look of World War II period about it.

    The Chelsea one is rotten.

City moving to Umbro next season apparently. Ugh.

iver serious doubts over the utd jerseys
specially the away one which is totally fake but the home one could be but the stitching around the badge of the home one is brutal

I wish this was Liverpools new jersey. So much classier looking than any of the recent offerings. The crest especially, is far far nicer.

    very cool jerseys

The Liverpool and Arsenal ones look good I think.

The United shirts in the first post featuring the V design look rank. It looks like they were modelled on the Green Ranger...

    GreenRanger.jpg

The ones Mikey posted look a bit better but I'm still not impressed tbh.

Puma showing the more established brands how it should be done!

I'm disappointed that Liverpool are dropping the grey away kit. It's iconic if nothing else.

That second set of UTD jerseys is being very presumptuous.

    Gold badges?!

Like 99% of Umbro shirts it's horrid.

It was only for one year for the 20th anniversary.
Carrying it on for another season would have been wrong IMO.

At least Arsenal and Liverpool are only brining out one new jersey, not two.

Oh sorry, I didn't know that. In that case, I'm wrong :o - dropping it is the right thing to do.

The United jerseys posted by Mikey are spot on for next year, saw the samples of both of them about six weeks ago. There was a picture of the home one in a paper in the US last week too, turns out that AIG are rebranding but next year's shirts are already made so there's a chance that United will be advertising the old name for the company. The V is a kick back to the 1909 jersey, the year they won the Cup for the first time.

The current Liverpool home jersey isn't changing, the one posted is a mock up posted on both RAWK and Irish Kop last season.

Love the Liverpool black one, would look way better with the crest in all gold though.

Loving those Man United jerseys (the ones Mickey posted). Not sure of the black on the home one, but the away shirt is gorgeous.

They have to be taking the piss with the UTD ones? They are horrendous. The V thing just makes it look like something from the Brazilian league.

I like the colours in the Liverpool one in the OP .

Hey, that's not fair. the brazilian league jerseys are class, way ahead of those half assed offerings. Corinthians in particular always looks classy compared to most of the crass you see in the prem.

+1 on the Zenit Jerseys too, Puma always know how to design a good shirt, pity they don't have the revenue to sponsor that many clubs.

What's with the retro fad all of a sudden? first Engerland and umbro and now Nike and Utd? it smacks of lazy design...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,825 ✭✭✭Mikeyt086

rofl at the Brazilian league comment Ste.

Maybe Anderson and the Da Silvas had some input.

I too think these "retro" gimmicks are a pisstake. Why should a football shirt be retro? Im going to play football in it or wear it to a pub not go to a themed party in it. As a Manchester United fan, i want a red shirt with black or white trim, nice material, and a decent sponsor. Every 2 seasons i can accept a little change.

But what im getting is... Every 6 months there is a new memorial or design that was used a few decades ago, but now its better because of state of the art, cliamacool sexy tight, non-slip, ronseal 5 year woodstain bull****.

Like what the **** is V for Victory. How about Red for United?

i could be wrong here, but didnt united stop being signed with AIG, just if they were getting a new sponser, it wouldnt make sence put AIG on the jersey.

although ill admit, they look much better than the first one's

United have AIG for one more season and then the contract runs out.

I also think it would make sense for them to wait one more feckin season and not bring out another bollickin jersey then

How much do football Jerseys cost these days? I've only ever purchased one from a club shop (a Charlton one strangely enough).

    About 60/70 bucks.
Last jersey I had I was about 10, got Number 1 on the back because of Grobelaar, even though it wasn't the keeper jersey :o

Contrary to popular opinion, Man United don't release the most new jerseys in the Premier League. No where near it, I'll try find the source but it actually puts United near the bottom in terms of the amount of new jerseys since the EPL began.

    Aston Villa were top iirc.
