Connection Keeps Breaking????

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but here it goes:

My broadband keeps disconnecting and reconnecting very quickly.

A speech box will arise saying "A Network cable is unplugged"

Then about 1sec later it will reconnect. This happends about every 5 mins making downloading, streaming and gaming impossible.

Whats weirder is that this occurs only between 10.30pm and 4.00am and a sound similar to that of when a phone near-by is about to ring is made by the computer.

I'm only posting here because neither Eircom or Belkin can help.

The NAT and UPNP are enabled and I have a cracked Ipod on the DHCP Client List.

    Any ideas at all???

    Thanks in advance

You either have a dodgy network cable, or a dodgy NIC on your PC.

I would go for the cable 1st.

Could be a dodgy modem either.

Hey, found the problem: An IP conflict with my Xbox and Ipod, weird that. Thanks for your suggestions though. Will know in future. :)
