    Listerine FTW.

Most of the ones recalled are Uk but i think the likes of tesco would have been selling them over here

    Boots Smile, FTW!

You get the Dentyl ones in Lidl, I think.

Thanks for the tip. Wouldn't have checked the site otherwise and just noticed we had some Dentyl in the bathroom. Microbiological issue? Oh dear...

Well I have to say that this recall leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

hi folks I work in a pharmacy and its only the ones of the mouthwashes mentioned that are form the uk that are effects so if you bought them in a pharmacy or a small local shop they should be ok its only the shops that would buy in bulk from uk supplier that have the dodgy ones

So people should risk microbiological infection over a €2 bottle of mouthwash because some random stranger on the internet says it's ok?

I'm sure psycho-hope was merely trying to help latenia

Any idea when the batches were contaiminated? Got a few bottles bought in September so think might be okay, just money is tight and I use a lot of mouthwash!

I think you are entitled to get a full refund for them, so you wont lose out

How could they all be contaminated unless they are all manufactured in the same place using the same ingredients? The moral of the story is buy the cheapest, they are probably all the same.

Not necessarily all made in the same place, it could be one ingredient sourced from the same place.

But I agree on getting cheap ones, some things do count, like flavour you might like, but people buying branded bleach or paracetomol etc is just funding marketing men.

If you pick up items like beans or peas you can compare the nutritional info and often find out who really makes the own brand stuff and it is usually not all from the same place. I worked with a truck driver for a few weeks and would pick up dunnes brand stuff in the shamrock factory, other stuff would be along with chivers, if you compare the ingredients and info they were identical.

Thanks for this OP, I had some Dentyl here in the house, I just threw it down the sink because there wasn't much left :)

Listerine wasn't on the list, so the poster meant Listerine is the best,, or For the win
