When is the weather going to actually get mild and spring fully arrive.

    lashing rain at the moment.
    Not heavy just continous.
    Sky is black all around.
Radar has these bands pusing out of Wales and hitting the east coast especially Wicklow and penetrating all the way west in a rain train to co clare.

Dry & sunny here at the moment - glad to be north of the rain train for the moment though there are ominous dark clouds gathering to the East:eek:

Its always worse when 150 miles east its summer.

The sun is poking through here and theres actually some blue up there.
You'd call it a fine morning.
Looking west though it's very dark grey as per the rain band now into west wicklow making it's ever very slow relentless creep East.

I'd say unless you are on the extreme west fringe of the band, you'll be wet for a long time.
Don't know when it will be here on the coast-probably early to mid afternoon at it's current pace.

I don't like rain bands like that as it's pulsing south to north rather than East to west which is slowing its movement East and inevitably means here in the East that we will be stuck under it for the night and tomorrow and it ain't light.

    11.4c

Wind SE at 10 to 15mph

Take at look at the rainfall radar. It was amazing here, just West of Galway, that the rain showers hardly moved so some areas got a lot of rain. The radar animation shows it really well.
