Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Typical crap no doubt from someone who just most likely got knocked out of the European cup.

"I'm not just saying it because of what happened against Chelsea"

    Please.

no offence but you talk some ****e

    All but dashed.

You have seen Liverpool play in Europe before right?

And you have seen Liverpool score 3 against Chelsea at the Bridge, right?

(for the record it apparently happened twice - 1987 and 1989)

I havent seen liverpool put four past united and Real or 5 past villa in a long time, if ever...

Unless there's some magic from Torres, I think this game will depend on how Reira and Yossi play. That will determine how well the attack works.

Then again, with so many injuries, you'd be very surprised if Blackburn scored.

I was half way through typing "I don't think Blackburn have a chance of scoring - if 'Pool get one it's pretty much game over".

    And then it happened.

    Fantastic by Torres.

At least Blackburn have to attack now so it wont be a turgid game of football.

I think for them to win, Liverpool need to sit off and not score another. Then in the 80th minute Blackburn equalise then hold out for a 1-1 draw. Any earlier than that and I'd say Liverpool would get another if pushed.

They need to push on though and get the second to end the game.

    Great start.

Just makes you think about where we could be if Torres had been fit for some of those scoreless draws against the weaker teams, it would be United chasing us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

    What a miss.

jesus, some goal, the chap is lethal

want to see how keith treacy gets on now, young irish lad for blackburn, as the game is over realistically

The Blackburn fans I know that are at games regularly reckon Treacy isn't up to PL standard.

McCarthey hasn't been playing the best lately, but Bluh'buh need a man who is able to score goals, moreso and Samba.

    pity if not

but even if he was championship standard, he'd be another squad winger to have for us

No it's not. Everton and Wigan equalised against Liverpool in recent months.

Liverpool just showed how poor he is by playing the ball around him like he wasn't there. Kuyt should have scored.

and wigan and everton are both top 8 with good players

blackburn are 14th and have a centre half up front

    cant see it happening
