    she's way off key.

    I like the ones where they get a woman to sing, then raise it about 6 octives, add an extra 30bpm, and put a few DONK's on it!
    :D

    IMO any track that has trance in it is ruined :p

    In house though, I'd probably usually prefer male vocals, but it depends. Vocals can quickly make a track sound either more soulful or more cheesy, and there's a fine balance. I don't remember hearing cheesy male vocals as often as cheesy female vocals.

    huh? how about Jan Johnston?
    freefall - skydive
    libra pres. taylor - anomoly (calling your name)
    BT - mercury and solace
    .....
    theres plenty more aswell

    dont know what the state of trance is these days, all i know is that new 'trance anthems' cd is full of ten year old tunes

    Skydive = cheesy.

    certainly disagree that female vocals are ruining a track.

    The amount of cheese behind such a tune would be the ruining factor.

    2 excellent tunes spring to mind for me as examples of excellent female vocals,

    Perpetuous Dreamer - The sound of goodbye (Rising star rmx)
    Lange - Drifting away (Lange's sunset dub)

    Ah female vocals are brilliant in a vocal trance song.

    I'd actually prefer androgynous robotic voice vocals. Or zombie-like voacals. As in goth-trance ;)
