    Download helper - Firefox plug in

    Right, there are a lot of people who want to get music off various sources that basically allow you to listen but not to actually download and save.

    In most cases the easiest way around this is via the download helper plugin for Firefox. If there is an active media source on the page then the icon beside your nety bar will be active. You can decide what media you want to download and select the format to save.
    Take for instance the Defected comp Zascar posted recently. You can listen to the full track but not save. Hit the download helper button and you will see a file ready to download. Pretty simple.
    Sometimes the file will not have the .MP3 tag, as this is the common way they stop you from downloading, rename the file and add .MP3 and its sorted.
    You can use it on Youtube and chose to download audio, video or both.
    Dead Handy.
    Most of you probably know this but hope this helps you newbies

    Quality would be ****e though... Lets face it its not difficult to get a high quality version.
    Could be useful if was some rare tune you cannot find anywehre else though

    I generally tend to get as much as I can off beatport (especially the smaller acts/labels) but there's a lot of stuff I just can't seem to find, I've heard good things about soulseek and I have a newsgroup account but I'm stumped when it comes to the more obscure/older stuff ?
