Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Heading to Manchester! Need Advice!

    HI

    Myself and 2 other lads are heading to see Manchester United play Spurs on the 25th of April. We're heading over the day before hand and not home till late the Sunday after.. We're staying in Trafford so from my reading on the net were about 10ish miles from the city centre. Basically, Im wondering where are the best places to head out on the beer for Fri and Sat nights and I guess things to do on the Friday? (Before we get hammered!) Also, if anyone has been, any advice on how much cash to bring??! Is the beer pricey?!?!?

    Any help would be great!!! :)

    beer is cheap by dublin standards, 2.50 - 3 a pint

    mancs people are friendly

    its a bit of a dive though, last time i went there had randomers throwing bottles from a first floor window as i walked down the street

    am sure someone else will name the "better" areas :)

    You'll find some good pubs here. I've never been out in the city centre so can't say where's best.

    Was over there last month with a group of lads, its a good spot. We ended up in the Printworks (see here http://www.theprintworks.com/) both Friday & Sat nights. There a good few pubs/clubs etc in there. There could be better places to go out, i think its the temple bar of manchester!!
