Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vista Speech Recognition

Hi, I have Vista Premium with a Logitech USB microphone.

I can record my voice using the Sound Recorder with the microphone and there is movement of the mini-equalizer in the Sound Dialog-Recording Tab under the USB Microphone, so it is functional. The playback is fine too.

Now, when I go to set up Speech Recognition and recite the sentence, the bar does not move and I’m told that the computer cannot hear me.

The speakers and playback are at high volume, the microphone is not muted, and the microphone is close to my voice. The defaults are set for the Logitech microphone.

I tried Speech recognition a few months ago with the same microphone and it worked fine twice that day and not the third time even though I had not changed anything. And it hasn’t worked since.

I see this problem on other forums but have not found an answer.

    I am confused!

    Thanks for your help.
