Hope Berba pulls the thumb out and performs tonight. I was actually shocked at how bad he was against Sunderland, and he could make the difference tonight (that and a good defensive display).

we'll see can berba actually put in a performance tonight

after this match a few other people might join myself and redout ;):D

    Eamo

"Berbatov has not shown the desire and commitment since joining Man Utd"

    Spot on Eamo.

It's a joke that Berbatov gets to start ahead of Tevez.

    A neutral perspective.

I'm just hoping there's some special Fergie logic behind it. You know that logic that Fergie and no else can see until after the match? (I love that logic).

It's a brave call alright but on his day Berbatov can turn a game with a bit of magic. He's certainly due.

Let's be fair, he was rushed back from an injury for that game, he was never going to be 100%.

    Hopefully tonight he will improve.

I expect a performance from him tonight

I'm a little surprised that Anderson is starting ahead of Scholes. Fair enough he had a woeful first leg but you need someone who will work hard in the midfield. I don't think Anderson has Scholes' work rate or desire.

Apart from that a very very strong United squad. Nice to see Giggs starting. Think they'll need somebody with a cool head.

Hulk and Lopez will be huge threats to United tonight.

In fairness I expect a performance from everyone tonight. We have got to play like the Champions of Europe that we are. If only so Rooney doesn't give up on us!

Oh I overlooked the fact that Ferdinand is starting. Big boost for United's defence.

Just heard the Porto manager has left the stadium :D

a shadow of his former self

I think Ando more than matches Scholes' work-rate and more importantly has a lot more stamina for a midfield battle (plus he most due a gaol or 2 ;) )

Any reason behind that or is it just a rumour?

I've mostly seen in him Europe and though he may not be at his best this season but when he is he is definitely a force to reckoned with. Plus he'll probably score a screamer that takes United through.

    Its on BBC anyway

1911: This is nice. Apparently, Porto boss Jesualdo Ferreira - who is serving a touchline ban tonight - is not even planning to stick around for the game. I cannot believe that is true, but a good rumour nonetheless.

Can he not just sit in the stands? Maybe he's gone down to the pub to watch it. :)

Eamo talking sense about hargreaves missing

    wow

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,552 ✭✭✭Bobalicious93

Right lads I need some guidance in the right direction.

Should I watch on RTE2 or SS2? Obviously I'll switch over to Eamo and the lads at HT, but I'm trying to think which the best commentary will be

Yeh will PM you my number when I get a chance, maybe meet up for the United City game next month, early kick off!

Wouldn't be too worried about the job, trust me its better being unemployed here than Ireland! Only thing I miss is Dunphys pre-game 'analysis'

Anyway, back to the match. United to win 2-0, Anderson to get the first, Rooney second with an acrobatic bicycle kick into the top corner, where he accidently lands on Nani on the way down giving the Portuguese twat a career ending injury... one can dream anyway :D

    COME ON UNITED!

I much prefer Sky Sports commentary and pundits.

Well Andy Gray is gonna be commentating on SS2 so if anyone scores a header from a cross you'll get the usual. "Can you head me.... Yes I can thank you very much" crap.

Decent odds. I'll have a piece of that but I don't see many goals in this one.

Although I did say that about last nights match.
