Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

jog on, its my opinion if you cant deal with it you shouldn't be on here

Strange opinion mate, but, each to their lonely own.

Good chance from that corner, Ronaldo actually put somebody under pressure, Rooney grimacing slightly less.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

It'll be a blow for United if Rooney doesn't return after half time. Although Tevez is a good sub to have.

Nope big united fan, I've just got that rare ability for a footy fan to realise when one of our own players is playing rubbish. We're hanging on by a thread here, yet some people on here seem to think if we're 1 nil up no player should receive critism.

Vidic the dirty swine. Pity he wasn't last man.

Good chance from Porto there. Close.

Good call with the yellow for Vidic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

I'm sorry I've been watching a different Anderson. Admittingly he ****ed up once or twice, but he's gotten stuck in in midfield, added a good bit of bite. He's been open for a pass, and has made some good passes [not least the pass to Ronaldo to the space for the goal]. And he's made some good runs forward, the 1-2 with Giggs not least.

He's been fairly solid over this half imo, I don't know what people are complaining about.

Playing rubbish and being rubbish are totally different. In your first post you pretty much said he was a rubbish player.

Ronaldo should really be getting himself into the box for this.

What a waste of a free kick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Not a brilliant first half in my opinion. Great goal for United but I was expecting them to capitalise more on it. They haven't created a whole lot. Vidic had the best opportunity to make it 2.

Porto are looking very dangerous and have some great ball control and look good. Crosses just letting them down a bit. I wouldn't bet against them to nick a goal and heap the pressure on United.

Hopefully the second half can get better.

lads that wasnt a big miss at all

ball bouce just before he hit it

    Harder to miss IMO

lol... you were asking that three players be taken off after half an hour... while we are 1-0 up... away from home

    What response did you expect

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,678 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

see that was Rooney does when he's in he's best position

disgrace having him on the right

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Porto don't look up to much. A second goal should put the tie to bed and the team looks well capable of that.

if it was a forward id agree with you but its a CB so i can understand him missing it

    Good play there

Glad to see HT... Give some lads a bollicking, assess any injuries, get some composure back.

I'm fairly happy after that half, and so I will not be listening to RTÉ at HT, cos it will just put me in a bad mood.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,430 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Good half despite Porto pressure they never really had any clear cut chances. We had 3 or 4 good chances and had plenty of possession. Most important is that we got the goal, and what a goal!

liverpool i meant. he looks ok now, we'll see what happens at half time. united with a few very good chances (what a miss from Vidic?) but i'll be very surprised if Porto dont score tonight, so united definitely need another.

It's almost a pity Rooney is such a great striker, because he makes a cracking winger too :D

I'm watching a stream in some Asian language, where O'Shea is pronounced Oshy. I think I'll call him that from now on.

9/11 was not 'United's tragedy either, what's your point? Only an idiot would not empathise with Liverpool fans at this time.

    Brilliant

Tyler and Gray were chatting how Berb is a lazy sod and has his own unique stlye of play and Tyler summed him up brilliantly.

"He's a stroller Andy" to laughter.

From now on I refer to him as "the stroller"

Is anyone else getting hacked off by the brutal coverage? Whoever is producing this keeps using terrible camera angles and zooming in on players who are doing nothing while play is going on. It's ridiculous.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 18,115 ✭✭✭✭ShiverinEskimo

Decent first half but United need another.

Here's the boys on RTE now...

Dunphy "Ronaldo makes 2 tackles - hold the front page!!"

I'd be very surprised if we didn't score again. They are shambolic at the back
