Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Anyone know if there is a running track in Galway that the public can use? I used to live in Limerick years ago and the track out in UL was great to run on.
    Cheers!

There is a track in Dangan belonging to NUIG. I know some of the running clubs and the triathlon club use it. I used it a few times without issue in the past. I don't honestly know what the story is with the general public using it. I'm sure if you go up and check it out someone will be able to tell you.

It's on the college grounds, up beside the GAA, rugby & soccer pitches. It's on the Moycullen road. If you are coming from the hospital, head towards the bridge & keep going straight out the road. Go straight through the lights at the end of the bridge. The next set of lights are at the Westwood / Dangan business park. There's a turn in to the right at the top of the hill after the lights.

if you are on foot or bike it's probably easier to go out along the river to Dangan from the college campus.

It's not open to the public. [I don't think any track is ever fully 'open to the public'].
That said, I don't think you'll have a problem using it while no groups are using it.

The gate used to be locked when clubs didn't have it booked. I remember scaling the fence about two years ago :o. You could always call up the sports office in the college. Gary Ryan is working there now.
