Would anybody know if there is a sewing machine mechanic or expertise in Galway?

Basically, it's a semi-industrial cam operated specialist machine, which needs support on an ongoing basis.

Any contacts or further questions, please PM me.

    Thanks,

So it's not just any old sewing machine, it's a piece of special equipment?
Do you have part numbers etcetera for it?

Not necessary. Anyone in the industry would know what I mean.

Ok since I cannot think of a better forum I guess it'll stay here, let's hope someone in the industry stumbles onto this "thread", pardon the pun.

I'm sure there's someone nearer, but if not there is someone in Sligo Town who fixes sewing machines. If you get no joy, I can find the number for you.

(Although I'm quite certain there will be someone closer)

There's a Singer shop in Middle Street.

However if the machine is semi-industrial, then I'm guessing that you average domestic-machine mechanic isn't who you're looking for.

OP, how about you try contacting the local (ie ROI) manufacturers/distributors, they should know who around the place can service 'em.

Wasn't the shop in Middle Street closing down, or at least giving up the sewing machine part of their business?

maybe try the Betty Ford clinic, they have some success re-building singers that are playing up.

Have tried all local and obvious options, along with distributor agent (UK only).

I wouldn't rule them out, and would rather let them (if I could find one!) make the call on that.

    Thanks for all replies.
