    been wanting to go to Russia for a while........
    would love to go this summer ,im on my own, male,36
    Would consider also inter railing.....interested in St Petersburgh, Novobisirsk, kiev (ukraine) and open to idea

    anyone planning to go from Dublin and in my situation?

    A good opener, maybe if you're tight for time, is the Eastern lap. It takes a mininmum of 8 weeks, no visas required or expensive flights required.

    Start in Tallinn, Riga, Vilnus through to Warsaw, down to Krakow, over to Lviv right the way to Donestk (Eastern Ukraine), down to Sevastopol / Balaclava, over to Odessa and back out through Moldova and Romania. Then head over to Ljubljana and come down the Croatian coast to Dubrovnik, inland to Belgrade, then down through Skopje to finish in Athens.

    And the weather gets warmer as you go :)
