Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thunderbird + IMAP issues

I have Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 running on Windows XP. I have it setup to use IMAP.

I have a Nokia n95 8GB using IMAP on the same servers.

Sometimes if I delete a couple of things in Thunderbird and then close it they are still downloading to the phone although deleted from Thunderbird. This happens even if I send/receive before closing Thunderbird.

Any ideas on what this might be? These are the settings I have in Thunderbird.

    Thanks

I had something similar before where I deleted some spam from the spam folder and it appeared in my inbox in thunderbird. Complete pain in the balls. Never figured out how to sort it unfortunately.

Don't suppose there's any more thoughts on this?

I eventually stopped using Thunderbird because of issues I had with it not syncing properly with my Gmail properly (IMAPwise). I moved over to Outlook and it sorted me out.

I understand that's hardly ideal, but as I was depending on it for work I didn't have a chance to spend too much time leafing through options. I hope you have more luck than I did.

That could have been a random Gmail glitch rather than a Thunderbird problem. While Kmail and Thunderbird have always been rock solid with the Courier IMAP server on our LAN, earlier this year we've seen sporadic instances of Gmail IMAP folder contents disappearing. This happened on multiple accounts on different days. Logging in on Gmail's web interface seemed to rebuild the index and make the 'missing' contents available on IMAP again. It has been fine for the last few months though.
