I don't hope it will be the Ross Brawn/Schumacher stragegy to pit very late and only do fast laps when everybody else is in the pit, and thus come out in #1 position after your own pitstop. That's what happend , with Button,in Maylasia, only the rain spoiled the race. I know it brought Schumacher many a win but i hated watching those races.

So anyone know what the hell is up with Ferrari, i am seriously giving up on Massa, why did he not go and try again, Third qualifying race were he did not get past Q2, its ridiculous, if kimi can make it so can Massa.

That is the only strategy they consistently works better than any other, so thats what they will probably try and use. :p

Maybe Kimi is just a better driver. :D

    Beat me to it ;)

I get the feling that some people have been dissilusioned with massa coming closer to the title than Kimi last season.
    Dont knock Kimi just yet.

Well thats kind of what i meant but to be fair it could be allot of things and Massa has out qualified Kimi a few times. ;)

Well i always thought Massa was a fast driver even before he joined Ferrari, I think he upped his game allot last year we will see if he can sustain it i guess the car doesn't help at the minute, i still think Kimi is better though. ;)

Kimi just had a poor season last year and this season had bad luck in Australia where he would've been in for a podium but for one mistake and a bad call in Malaysia. Himself and Hamilton are right on the pace and fuelled pretty heavily so I wouldn't be too surprised to see either of them on the podium with a bit of luck tomorrow.

Aye, but if Kimi outqualifies him in Bahrain then there's something seriously wrong with him or the car.

    Oh no.
I never said I dont rate him
I just think it is a bit of False performace being up there.
    Remember
The Brawns have maybe 7 or 8 laps more fuel

Title over for Ferrari, Raikkonen admits
Kimi Raikkonen has stated that neither he nor team-mate Felipe Massa will be able to challenge for the 2009 world championship.

Ferrari this year kicked off its worst start to a season since 1992, but after just two races in 2009, Finn Raikkonen says it is not realistic to hope to recover and mount a title bid.

    FULL STORY HERE

I didnt think we would here something like that this soon :o

Alonso's light , but they got the new difuser fitted on alonso's car.
Piquet however dosent have the new diffuser.

The gap between them is massive !

The gap is massive but it would've been huge anyway, Piquet is awful in qualifying.

    RAIN! :D WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

This fairly throws it open now, not having to use the supersofts. If they can start on full wets then switch to inters then they're sorted.

I went without sleep for this, went without sleep last night too, only got two hours yesterday morning, so it works out that I've slept about 3 hours in the last 43 :P WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

who's good in the wet this year ?

Rosberg was flying i remember , last rain gp

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

    Excellent Rain news :D
Rubens is excellent in the rain and fueled heavier than the top three.

Not totally sure whats up with Ferrari but I think its the car more than the drivers.
And from Qualy you can see how much KERS helps.
Fingers crossed the upgrade for Spain will help much more.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel are probably the three stand-out wet drivers. Button and Barrichello no slouches either. Having said that I think it's stopped raining and we may be looking at an almost dry start. :(

*EDIT* It is still raining apparently. :)

    Safety car start.

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

Ooooh not good news for light cars!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Anyone else think starting the car under the safety car is just daft? It's just going to delay any chance to clear the water from the circuit.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Also, I can see Kimi and Hamilton challenging for the win depending on how long the safety car stays out.

    BORING!!! Get in Safety Car

I should have stayed in bed.
Very boring just watching them go round behind the sc

Finally Safety car in this lap!

    Hope this works for Alonso

Brundle is usually fairly conservative about bringing safety cars in from rain, so when he says they should go, they should definitely be going.

Safety car in this lap, and straight back out after a crash and turn one I'm going to guess. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,606 ✭✭✭Carroller16

yeah crash straight away i'd say

    EDIT: Prediction Fail

At least I was original :P

Red Bulls flying, as is Buemi.

I think the lads are just running wide on the last corner to carry more speed down the straight. :P

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

    Wow that Toyota looks weird!!!
    Poor Trulli :(

    Safety Car?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,606 ✭✭✭Carroller16

    tut bloody SC AGain

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Safety car! Could be a disaster for Button.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Think Buemi just ran into the back of one of the Ferraris, hard to tell because they just cut away at the wrong time.

Here we go with a few laps of the safety car trying to catch the leader who is trying to catch the safety car.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Anyone else finding it nearly impossible to tell the difference between the Red Bulls and Torro Rossos in the wet?

Please stewards, clear the bloody debris so we can get some running again soon.

  • Registered Users Posts: 386 ✭✭Irishshin

No way!!!! Massa was doing so well!!

The directing is awful. Hamilton challenging Kimi and they don't show it, and that's not the first time

is slip streaming affected in the wet loving this by the way can't see ****.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Slipstreaming works fine in the wet, takes balls to do it though. McLarens looking good for some points.

    Vettel's race to lose.

Delighted for Vettel ,one the nicest guys in F1 and a real talent.
Give him the car and he will deliver.
Due to problems in Quali he only ran 1 hot lap in each seasion and still took pole.
As if that wasnt impressive enough he led from start to finish in appaling conditions and one of the very few drivers that didnt make a single mistake.
