Downloaded Internet Radio for the E71 and it has FM104 and Spin preloaded. I've tried adding other Irish stations manually, but it just isn't working. Does anyone know the source codes for the various Irish station for this application? Thank.

How exactly did you try adding other stations?

Go into Internet Radio (Downloaded from Download!, Applications), press the options key/button on the top left hand corner of the handset), select 'Add station manually'.

Ah right, didn't notice they had added this facility. The problem is that the application only will take http:// streams - I guess this would be streams in MP3/Shoutcast format. Many stations will only provide streams in Real or Windows Media format and in those cases, unless someone has set up a server to transcode those streams into a http stream you won't be able to use them from the Internet Radio app. You can however, use Realplayer to listen to the stations that use Real streams including RTE and the BBC.

Strangely enough I can't find FM104 or spin.
But I do have Phantom and Today FM.

I might have those 2 stations wrong as I wasn't looking at the phone at the time. It was RTÉ 1 & 2 that I was looking for in particular.

I googled realplayer for mobile but they don't seem to have it for the E71 - is there another version that might work? Thanks.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get newstalk on this? I tried their blueface stream which is meant for phones but it doesn't seem to exist and the full WMP stream didn't work

    Isn't realplayer built in automatically?

How did you do that do you mind me asking? I've an option to open saved clips, or to download videos but can't seem to input a url or visit the RTÉ site.

If you key in an rtsp:// url in the browser, it should automatically open in realplayer. Then you can save the clip and open from saved clips in the future.

Important note: streaming audio for long periods can result in high data usage. I'd recommend a large data plan or using wifi.

Probably the easiest way would be to visit http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/irish.asp in your mobile browser and click the links to start the stream and then choose to save the stream URL.

There are a few other sites out there doing this kind of thing if you Google but the broadcasters have copped on to this and some have done what they can to thwarte mobile access to save bandwidth.

Oh and even streaming for short periods will rack up your data charges if you aren't on a fixed data plan or wi-fi.

I got it by typing the url into the web browser, and the Internet Application just opened by itself to play it

    Edit:

I've just discovered if you use this url below, you can enter it directly into Internet Radio under Add Manually:

    Try this one:

http://newstalk.fmstreams.com:8080 in the set up station manually option within Internet Radio

Here's the link for the RTÉ radio one stream:

If you pop it in the browser url and save it as a bookmark it'll open realplayer to play when you click on it:

Newstalk works for me no problem. On wifi that is, haven't tried it on meteor isp/streaming.

CorePlayer for Symbian S60 should be able to play the Windows Media streams.
