Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi folks, my friend's parents recently went to france in the camper. they visited the normandy beach where the big showdown took place.

thing is, none of the pictures came out. they were all blurred. and its just the ones from normandy that are blurred.

Anyone know of stuff like this happening in normandy before?

Are you saying some external force on the Normandy Beach made the photos go blurry :rolleyes:

Um, seriously now, handy info you should share to get better answers:

1/ what camera are we talking about?

2/ Where there any special condititions when shooting the pics? (i.e strong gales, stormy weather, etc)

3/ Is it really ALL the photos from this beach? Maybe show us an example?

Only messing, could have been that sort of going into evening but not dark and this could account for the blur?

While a family tour round Normandy in the mid 1990's did not produce blurred photos, the Calvados meant that some of the images I acually remember were a bit vague round the edges.

Classic image there Borderfox, it makes you wonder how many of them made it through the landing, especially when you visit that sea of white crosses above the beach.

OP - Sounds like the camera had a focusing problem, but that would mean that ALL the photos taken in Normandy would have been blurred, not just from the beach.

Anyway, in other news, here's my effort from last year... :-)
